Our Story

Welcome to Al-Jamilah, a fashion destination dedicated to empowering women through stylish, modest clothing. Founded by Dua Najib, a young woman who over 10 years ago, when she started wearing the hijab, struggled to find fashionable, yet covered clothing options that would align with her Islamic faith. Driven by this gap in the market, she began experimenting with layering and custom tailoring to create her own modest fashion pieces. Eventually, her passion led to the launch of Al-Jamilah.

The name Al-Jamilah was inspired by Dua's mother, Jameelah, who not only played a major role in her journey of adopting modest dressing but also served as a source of inspiration and empowerment. The name Al-Jamilah, meaning "The Beautiful One," reflects our belief that modesty is a true source of beauty, and that every woman has the right to express her personal style and feel comfortable in her own skin.
